With all the glitz and glam in The Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada, it’s can be quite difficult to make a mark. The same goes for commercial swimming pools. Either you go big or go home to be able to compete with the most luxurious swimming pools in the state. It can be quite overwhelming with all the enhancements and improvements that can be done to a swimming pool area. If you don’t know where exactly you should start, get a clue and read on.
Put Up a Miniature Water Fall
Water features are big in Las Vegas pools. It won’t hurt to put up one for your own. Instead of the usual water fountains, bring on the extravagance with a miniature waterfall. It’s a decorative element that can enhance the look of your swimming pool. Not only that, it makes the pool more attractive to potential customers, especially to excited kids.
A Spin on the Classic Water Slide

Water slides are a staple to make a swimming pool look inviting to vacationing tourists. Instead of the classic water slide, have one built that goes through the water not just above it. You’ll need an insanely large swimming pool for this one, but as we’ve mentioned earlier: Go big or go home.
Get Realistic
Incorporating natural elements into your swimming pool is a great way to give a realistic feel. Salt-water swimming pools are big nowadays. Pair this with actual white sand and natural rock formations. This will look great as it accompanies a miniature waterfall. Now that’s sure to leave anyone in aw.
Add Glass Features
Is there really anything cooler than being able to see what’s going on under the water? Glass features are great for this. These can be used as partitions for kiddie pools. I’m sure you’ve seen hotels where you have a huge glass wall with the pool on the other side. Take after them because that’s one that will never get old.
Get the Whole Pool Deck Resurfaced
An unsightly pool deck with cracks and leveling slabs simply won’t do. These are bad for the business and are certainly an eyesore. Before you get to all the different enhancements, pool deck resurfacing is a must. Embellish it with intricate patterns or the look of natural stone. Make it absolutely luxurious for everyone who wants to take a splash.
Aside from all this extravagance, there are decorative options available. Pool deck resurfacing and other services can transform your pool deck into a stunning work of art. If you want more information regarding these services or about pool deck resurfacing in Las Vegas, visit our homepage.

Back then, stylish isn’t really the first word that comes to mind when someone says cement or concrete. Times have changed and the contemporary movement in architectural design challenged that thinking. Concrete is no longer isolated as a durable foundation material.
Halloween is a night of scares but your yard should not scare people away. If your concrete is looking drab and damaged, install a
Join the festivities by decorating your front yard with scary, eerie, but still fun decorations. You don’t have to spend a fortune on Halloween decor. You just have to pick the right ones that will make your walkway and entryway stand out. Since pumpkins are abundant this time of the year, carve some spooky faces on it and put it by the door on the steps leading to your doorway.
Outdoor lighting can make your decor look scarier. If you already have lighting fixtures installed, change the bulbs to red or orange ones for extra effects. The lights will also make the walkway brighter and safer for the children to walk on, especially during trick-or-treat night. Put some lights inside carved pumpkins as well to make them glow at night. Ask a local electrician to help you set all the lights safely.
You can go as elaborate as you want but consider the fact that you will be cleaning those all up when Halloween has passed. Choose decorations that are easy to set-up and easy to remove and store. If you think it could damage the outdoor concrete surfaces, find an alternative.
In Las Vegas, the type of soil varies in different areas. You could hire a soil engineer to check and evaluate the type of soil you wish to build your concrete driveway on and to help design a driveway appropriate for the type of soil you have. For properties with expansive soil, contractors often install a structural base first, about 3 to 6 inches, before pouring concrete. A thickness of 4 to 6 inches of concrete is then poured and leveled. For areas where the soil is more firm and could pass as a structural base, 4 inches of concrete will do.
If you are installing a driveway that will mainly serve light passenger vehicles, contractors would often install the standard thickness of 4 to 6 inches. But if garbage trucks, delivery trucks, or other heavy vehicles often drive and park on your driveway, then the contractor might recommend a thick concrete driveway for extra strength and durability. Although this is a factor that needs to be considered, contractors highly recommend keeping heavy vehicles from driving and parking in your driveway to prevent damage.
The minimum requirement for most concrete driveway thickness is 4 inches. If you want to enhance the structural capacity of your driveway, then you could add one or two more inches to it. An inch added to 4 inches is enough to boost the capacity of a driveway to accommodate heavy vehicles by 50 percent. However, it is important that you understand that an additional inch will also incur an additional 20 percent to the total cost of the installation project. Make sure that you are willing to invest more for a thicker and stronger driveway.
Concrete resurfacing is quite forgiving on minor cracks and shallow holes. However, if the cracks are wide and deep, a coating or overlay won’t make sense. It must first be filled with a mix of epoxy and silica sand before it can be resurfaced. If it is a working crack, meaning it recurs, it can be resolved with a custom scoreline after the coating has been installed. However, if the crack is a symptom of structural damage underneath, a slab replacement is a more appropriate solution.
If the concrete space you want to resurface has an existing coating or overlay, that layer must first be ground off before a new one can be installed. Even if it is just a sealer, it must be removed because it could affect the adhesion of the new coating. Contractors would often use a grinding machine to grind off the top layer, revealing a new, more porous layer of concrete.
It is best to contact someone who is licensed and experienced to evaluate your concrete space. Since structural damage is at the bottom of the slab, it may or may not show symptoms that are visible to the naked eye. Rust-colored liquid leaking out of cracks is an indication that the steel structure underneath is exposed to water and that it has already rusted. Sinking or shifting slabs may indicate soil or water movement underneath and must first be inspected if it still can be resolved with slabjacking or not.
